magma architecture
Profile

All architectural concepts are materialised forms moulded by inherent internal and external forces. Kneaded mass (Greek: “magma”) represents the idea of this multifaceted process. magma architecture searches for specific answers to given outsets without presuming the formal and spatial representation. The results are characteristic and recognisable designs.

magma architecture operates on the borderline between architecture, design and communication. The Berlin based architecture and exhibition design practice implements an experimental design approach and a playful handling of programmes, materials and geometries. Characteristic for magma spaces are their surprising and multisensual, stimulating qualities.

magma architecture’s expertise are dynamic buildings and exhibition and event spaces deliberately shaped by specific contents. The practice guides the design process from initial ideas to completion based on the conviction that a design idea only becomes visible and tangible when carried through into the last detail. magma architecture is based in Berlin and realises projects with an interdisciplinary network and local partners all over Europe.
