Children's Surgery „Smooth Criminal“

A visit to the doctor can be fun – proven by this expanded children’s surgery in Düsseldorf. Cheerful green and yellow, combined with the light wood tone of maple furniture and warm, softly light creates a special atmosphere, that gives children security and also stimulates their imagination. Unique element in the designed rooms is the large-scale motif of the butterfly children on wall and wardrobe units. Guiding principle in transforming the surgery was to see the world with children eyes. The interior design concept provides lightness, playfulness and cheerfulness. The rooms are designed as if casted in one piece, whereby the custom made furniture produces a variety of spatial references. It has succeeded in giving children and parents a unique spherical experience. Sterile walls with decorative hpl were brought back to life – then even doctor visits can be fun.
